From 1996 to 2002, Teddi was trained in traditional Chinese painting. In 2002, she began academic training on Socialist Realism until she moved to New York in 2012. There, her interest in Cubism, Abstraction and Minimalism melded with her traditional Chinese education. Her paintings are often viewed as an amalgamation of Eastern and Western influences.

Besides painting, her work involves film and jewelry making, fashion, product, furniture, and architecture design.

Teddi currently lives and works in New York.
